I’m not too impressed with Google SearchWiki. Did we need our search engine results to have YouTube style commenting?
Maybe as they rev it they will work on more of a real ‘wiki’. With this search wiki I see very little point to contributing. With only 65 votes on Britney Spears, rumored to be the #1 search term ever, there is not a very high conversion factor for people pressing those buttons.
Google can and does bucket test ad infinitum though, so you would think they wouldn’t roll something like this out to their crown jewel unless it either was very important internally politically, or they had tested it and seen great results.
