I need an online MP3 manager
I hate physical possessions. Less is more, things own you man!
Just joking, I actually just don’t like to have a lot of stuff because it’s a pain to move around, I like to have everything I own fit in a carry-on suitcase. There’s also the possibility of losing stuff, which is always a bummer.
When I lived in Seattle all my data lived on DVDs I burned or on my terabyte external hard drives. I didn’t want to lug that to China, so I moved all my MP3s to my ipod.
What sucks about the ipod as a data store though is that you can never take your mp3s off. It loses all the directory information, and even to import it back into your own hard drive requires hacking.
I really want a web site where I can upload all my mp3s to Amazon S3, pay for my own bandwidth and storage, but have the website offer a great playlist and management interface. Sharing music with other people is optional, I just want some place to play my own music for myself over the net.
I keep my code, documents, photos, and bookmarks online, I want mp3s online too.
