Why I don’t use 37Signals
I used to like 37signals, but I got turned off last year by their support last year, when a problem with their backpackit design destroyed a page I made on the site: they enabled ‘email to page’ on their pages, without considering that people would spam the emails, resulting in tons of spam on my backpackit page
I emailed them about the issue, and they were not very helpful. Instead of helping me with the problem, they suggested I delete my page.
I thought, how hard would it be to offer to help me by deleting the spam from my page which I worked hard to create and promote? At one point in the past, I measured my page as being a top 10 or at least a top 100 page on backpackit, I must have made them some ad revenue, at the very least they could throw a single DELETE FROM sql statement my way.
It’s been over a year since I suggested to them they fix this problem, still no resolution.
